Arsenal are keeping tabs on Brentford striker Ivan Toney, according to The Express. It has been reported that the Gunners want to sign the former Newcastle United man from Championship club Brentford in the summer of 2021.
The report has claimed that Arsenal have been monitoring the former Peterborough United striker and will continue to do so for the rest of the season. The North London club could then make a move for the 24-year-old, who joined Brentford from League One club Peterborough in the summer of 2020 for £5 million.
According to WhoScored, Toney has scored 16 goals and provided four assists in 22 league games for Brentford so far this season. The Bees are fourth in the Championship table at the moment with 41 points from 22 matches, six pints behind leaders Norwich City, and are aiming to clinch automatic promotion to the Premier League.
