Udinese defender Dusan Basta is a target for English Premier League outfit Arsenal, according to Talk Sport.
Basta has less than a year left on his contract and it is thought that the Gunners are ready to bring him to the Emirates next summer on a free transfer if talks for a new deal continue to stall.
The Serbian international seems as though he would relish the opportunity to play in England and could even turn down a four-year contract with the Italian club to make the switch to Arsenal.
Arsene Wenger will now monitor the right-backs situation and if he continues his good form, then the Frenchman is sure to make his move.
Basta can also play on the wing, so would add a good bit of versatility to the side and give Wenger some strength in depth.
Udinese will look to offload the 28-year-old in the January transfer window if he does not agree a new contract as they do not want him to leave for free.
It would then be Arsenal’s decision on whether to make a move or risk someone else coming in for him if they want to land Basta on a free.
