Arsenal line up bid for Everton star

Arsenal are readying bid for Everton defender Phil Jagielka, according to Daily Mail.

The Gunners have been tracking the England international for quite a while now and they had a £15 million bid rejected last summer.

However, Arsene Wenger is desperate to add some quality to his back line and could test Everton’s resolve with another bid this summer.

Jagielka has recently signed a four-year deal with the Toffees, meaning that the Gunners will have to delve deep into their pockets if they want to secure his signature.

Wenger is also keen on Jagielka’s teammate, Leighton Baines since the Frenchman is not satisfied with Gael Clichy’s performances this season.

Arsenal are likely to face a stiff competition for the Everton stars, with both of them having long list of suitors at the moment.
