As Cesc Fabregas is closing in on his move to Barcelona, the Gunners are desperate to sign a replacement for the Spaniard.
As L’Equipe reports, Arsene Wenger has now set his sights on Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Jadson.
The Brazilian was in scintillating form last season, and Wenger had the opportunity to witness the player’s potential at first hand as Arsenal faced Shakhtar in Champions League group stage.
The Frenchman has now instructed the club chiefs to open negotiations for the 28-year-old as he wants the transfer to be completed before the Champions League play-off clash with Udinese.
Recent reports suggest that the Brazil international would cost between €8m and €10m.
