The Daily Mirror understands that Arsenal are planning a summer raid on Feyenoord defender Daryl Janmaat.
Bacary Sagna will enter the final year of his contract next summer and with the French defender having second thoughts about penning a new deal at the Emirates, Arsene Wenger has no choice but to start searching for a replacement.
According to Daily Mirror, Feyenoord full-back Daryl Janmaat is at the top of Wenger’s hit-list.
The 23-year-old only joined Feyenoord last summer, but he has already shown enough to attract attention from top European clubs.
Janmaat not only became an important player at De Kuyp, but has been challenging Ajax defender Ricardo van Rhijn for a starting berth in the national team as well.
While making 22 Eredivisie appearances for Feyenoord, the youngster has started two 2014 World Cup qualifiers and he certainly falls into the category of young and talented footballers that Arsene Wenger prefers.
