Arsenal are set to make a move for Valencia striker Paco Alcacer when the transfer window reopens, according to the Metro.
The 21 year old is one of the hottest prospects in European football after scoring fourteen goals in all competitions last season, while he netted in his first competitive start for Spain in their 4-1 Euro 2016 qualifier against Macedonia on Monday.
The Gunners brought in Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez in the summer, but Arsene Wenger is keen to add more striking options to his squad as they look to compete on all four fronts this season.
Last season’s top scorer Olivier Giroud has been ruled out until January with a foot injury, though Theo Walcott is expected to return to first team action at the end of September.
Arsenal, who once again finished fourth last season, are priced at 11/1 to win their first title in eleven years.
