Metro is reporting that Arsenal could make a move on West Ham defender Winston Reid in the January transfer window.
The Gunners are a bit short of options in the heart of defence and with Thomas Vermaelen being linked with a winter exit, they might need to sign another centre-back.
And with their attempts to sign Swansea captain Ashley Williams having failed to materialize, Arsenal are reportedly ready to switch their attention to West Ham’s Winston Reid.
The 25-year-old has largely impressed at Boleyn Ground and he could be the subject of a £6 million bid from the Emirates.
The problem is that Manchester United and Liverpool are also keeping close tabs on the New Zealand international, but it is believed he would prefer staying in London.
Winston Reid has made a total of 83 league appearances for the Hammers since joining from Midtjylland, and scored 5 goals in the process.
