Arsenal linked with Cissokho swoop

Arsenal are weighing up move for Lyon full-back Aly Cissokho, French newspaper L’Equipe has revealed.

With both Andre Santos and Kieran Gibbs sidelined through injury, the Gunners are desperately short of cover at the left-back position.

Arsene Wenger is, therefore, looking to sign a new left-back in January and he has been linked with a move for Lyon’s Aly Cissokho.

Lyon chiefs have already revealed that they were ready to cash in on the 24-year-old, with the asking price thought to be around €10 million.

The player himself recently hinted that he would like to join a Premier League club, meaning that a transfer to Arsenal is a realistic option.

Cissokho’s agent is now set to meet with Lyon officials, as he wants to persuade les Gones into lowering their asking price.
