Arsenal are interested in signing Borja Mayoral from Getafe in the January transfer window, according to SportsLens. The report has claimed that Arsenal are on the hunt for a new striker in the middle of the season, and that Mayoral is a player on their radar.
However, the report has noted that Arsenal will have to offload players to sign a new striker in January because of Financial Fair Play regulations. Mikel Arteta’s side are fourth in the Premier League table at the moment with 40 points from 20 matches, five points behind leaders Liverpool.
Getafe currently find themselves eighth in the La Liga table with 26 points from 19 matches. Borja Mayoral has made 18 starts and one substitute appearance in the league for the Spanish club. The 26-year-old has scored 12 goals and given one assist in those games.
