Talksport understands that Arsenal will make a January move for Juventus defender Daniele Rugani.
The twenty-one year old is yet to make a senior appearance for the Old Lady, but spent the last two seasons on loan at Empoli, where he racked up eighty-one appearances, scoring five goals.
Internationally, he has been capped at every level from Italy’s U17s to their U21’s – the latter of which he has won ten caps for, scoring twice.
The Gunners have scouted the centre-back on several occasions, and could be set to make a bid of around £13m when the transfer window reopens.
Arsene Wenger’s side beat fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the third round of the League Cup, with Mathieu Flamini the unlikely here either side with strikes either side of Calum Chambers own goal.
They travel to Sheffield Wednesday in the next round, and can be backed at 5/1 to win the competition outright.
