Le 10 Sport claims that both Arsenal and Liverpool have attempted to recruit Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.
Following some impressive displays in French Ligue 1, the 22-year-old has become one of Europe’s most sought-after footballers, with the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea expressing interest in his services.
However, the latest reports suggest that Arsenal and Liverpool have moved to the front of the queue as they are keen to sign Bakayoko in the January window.
As a result, both clubs asked Monaco to name their price for the holding midfielder, but were informed that the talented footballer was not for sale this winter.
That is hardly surprising considering that Monaco find themselves in a three-way race for the Ligue 1 trophy with Paris Saint-Germain and Nice at the moment.
However, there is a chance that Principality club will listen to offers for their prized asset at the end of the current campaign.
