North London heavyweights Arsenal are said to be keeping a close tab on Sampdoria goalkeeper Emil Audero.
Sky Sport Italia claims Gunners are looking to bolster their options between the sticks ahead of the summer transfer and have identified the Italy Under-21 custodian as their prime target.
Audero has been a first-team constant for Sampdoria this season, going from strength to strength despite being only 21.
Arsenal scouts have been monitoring his progress for a while now and with Arsenal shot-stopper Petr Cech heading towards retirement it would appear that the Gunners have found a long-term replacement for the experienced Czech international.
Audero is, in fact, owned by Juventus but with former Gunner Wojciech Szczesny occupying the top spot in Turin, Arsenal hope to get the young goalkeeper off their books next summer.
