Atletico Madrid in-form defender Lucas Henriquez has been on the radar of several European clubs, who have been monitoring him over the past few months.
Monaco were believed to be interested in the 20-year-old stopper, but the Spanish media outlet El Mundo Deportivo reports that Arsenal and Lyon have also joined the chase for the talented French centre back.
Lucas Hernandez has been with los Rojiblancos for full nine years now since joining at youth ranks from Rayo Majadahonda, but the youngster stepped under the limelight this season with a string of impressive performances for Diego Simeone’s side.
Premier League outfit Arsenal are reportedly willing to step up their interest with an official offer for the French defender and El Mundo Deportivo claim that Gunners are ready to offer €10 million.
Having in mind that Atletico Madrid have already rejected an €18 million proposal in January it is highly unlikely that Diego Simeone will settle for a smaller offer during the summer.
