O Jogo has learned that Arsenal have been scouting FC Porto starlet Ruben Neves over the past few weeks.
The 18-year-old is already considered an important member of the squad at Estadio do Dragao, with Europe’s top clubs casting admiring glances his way.
According to recent reports, Arsenal are among the main candidates for his signature, and the Gunners appear to be stepping up their interest.
Working on the behalf of the Premier League side, Luis Boa Morte was in the stands to see the youngster in action as Tondela hosted FC Porto, with Neves coming on as a second-half substitute.
The Gunners will also have the player watched in weekend’s clash with Pacos de Ferreira, as they are clearly considering making a bid for his services.
Despite his fragile age, Ruben Neves already has 30 league appearances to his name, and he also started each of Porto’s 5 Champions League fixtures this term.
