According to reports in Italy, Arsenal have made a bid for Roma youngster Cengiz Under. The offer is believed to be around £26 million, however, the Italian club value him at £35 million which means that boss Unai Emery may well need to go back to the drawing board. The Gunners are currently looking at possible options ahead of the summer transfer window, in the wake of their poor dealings during January.
Under has been with Roma since 2017 when he made the jump over from Basaksehir, and at the age of just 21, it feels like the only way is up for the Turkish international. Arsenal have been interested in Under for quite some time now, but haven’t quite been able to push a deal over the line up to this point.
Under became the youngest Turkish player to score in the Champions League in February of last year, and continues to progress with each and every passing game.
