Arsenal have made a second bid for Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk, according to The Guardian. The report has claimed that the Gunners had an initial bid of £35.5m plus £17.7m in add-ons turned down by the Ukrainian giants, which has led the Premier League club to make a new offer.
Shakhtar want as much as £85 million in transfer fees for Mudryk, but the Ukrainian Premier League club are aware that Arsenal will not pay that much. Chelsea are claimed to be interested in the 21-year-old as well, but the Ukraine international wants to move to Arsenal instead.
Arsenal are seven points clear of second-placed and defending champions Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table at the moment. Mikel Arteta’s side have also reached the knockout rounds of the UEFA Europa League.
