Arsenal, Man City join race for Isco

Catalan daily newspaper Sport is reporting that Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester City have joined the chase for Real Madrid hotshot Isco.

In spite of some impressive performances last season, the Spain international appears set for a substitute role under Rafael Benitez, and there are quite a few top sides hoping to take advantage of the situation.

It is widely believed that Italian champions Juventus are front-runners for the midfielder’s signature, but they could face stiff competition from the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City.

The Premier League giants are reportedly keen on Isco as well and they could come forward with official proposals in the January transfer window.

The 23-year-old arrived at Santiago Bernabeu in a €30 million deal from Malaga two years ago and has since managed 12 goals in 68 La Liga matches.

Real Madrid resume their league campaign this weekend as they play Espanyol on the road, with away win paying 3/10.
