Burnley centre-back James Tarkowski has emerged as a transfer target for Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester City, The Times has reported.
The 25-year-old defender has been putting in fine displays for Burnley this season which caught the attention of league’s big boys and Tarkowski could soon be on the move.
Tarkowski’s impressive form has coincided with Burnley’s formidable run in the English top tier which has them sitting sixth in the Premier League standings.
Sean Dyche has built a competitive squad and would be keen to hold on to his most important players but Burnley could find it hard to resist tempting offers this winter.
James Tarkowski is said to be very happy at Burnley but the prospect of playing Champions League football could turn his head away from Turf Moor.
Burnley will not stand in the way of Tarkowski’s possible departure but will surely look to get the best possible price for their star, the same way they did with Michael Keane last summer.
