According to a recent report from El Desmarque, three Premier League clubs in the form of Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham are locked in a three-way battle to try and sign Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti.
The belief is that Barca are very keen on the idea of selling the Frenchman who has been with the club across the last three years. As they continue to evolve so does their first team, and it appears as if Umtiti isn’t going to be featuring in that conversation for much longer.
All three of the clubs in question are in desperate need of some defensive help and structure, whether it be due to injuries or just a distinct lack of talent within their ranks currently. Umtiti may not have the experience in the Premier League that some feel he’d need, but he does know what it takes to perform at an incredibly high level with the realms of European football.
