According to reports in England, Arsenal are monitoring Nicolas Tagliafico ahead of a possible move for the defender. The 26 year old Ajax star has been linked to a series of different clubs in the past, but now, the Gunners are seriously considering the possibility of putting in a bid during the January transfer window.
With Nacho Monreal, Sead Kolasinac and Ainsley Maitland-Niles all being sidelined, Unai Emery is short on options as the club attempt to keep their strong 10-game winning run going. Tagliafico made the move to Amsterdam back in January and has established himself as a consistent first teamer in that time, and has also put himself in the shop window.
Nobody is expecting Arsenal to make a push for the title but a signing like Tagliafico, at this stage in the campaign, could really help them keep pace with the teams around them in the race for the top four.
