Premier League giants Arsenal remain hot on the trail of Monaco playmaker Thomas Lemar, according to L’Equipe.
It is no secret that Arsene Wenger has set out to bring the talented footballer to the Emirates, but the Gunners have so far had several bids rejected for the 21-year-old, the last of those worth €50 million.
But, even though Monaco chiefs insist that Lemar is not for sale, the player may have other ideas.
Namely, having seen several star players leave this summer, the attacking midfielder is no longer keen on staying at Stade Louis II and he is tempted by the prospect of joining Arsenal.
And having paid mere €4 million for his services just two years ago, Monaco could eventually decide to cash in on their prized asset.
Lemar was one of club’s star performers last season, having managed 14 goals and 17 assists in all competitions.
