Arsenal offer Jorginho a new contract

Arsenal have offered Jorginho a new contract, according to The Athletic. The report has claimed that the former Chelsea midfielder is expected to sign the new deal and extend his stay at the Emirates Stadium.

Jorginho has been on the books of Arsenal since January 2023 when he joined from London and Premier League rivals Chelsea. The Gunners paid the Blues £12 million in transfer fees for the 32-year-old Italian midfielder. Jorginho has played 35 times in all competitions for Arsenal this season.

Arsenal are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment with 80 points from 35 matches. Mikel Arteta’s side are a point ahead of defending champions Manchester City, who have played 34 games. The Gunners will take on Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium, Manchester United at Old Trafford and Everton at home in their final three Premier League games of the season.
