It’s been far from a good season for Arsenal. The last week was particularly problematic, with the European Super League fiasco followed by a defeat at home to Everton. They are currently in 10th place with a top-four finish looking extremely unlikely, but something can still go well. They’re set to face Villarreal in the semifinals of the Europa League and that trophy, should they manage to win it, would put them in the Champions League next season regardless. The size of the funds set aside for the upcoming transfer window will certainly depend on it.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are working hard on securing the future of the talent they already posses. Bukayo Saka has signed a new contract and Folarin Balogun has agreed terms on one as well, and according to The Athletic, Emile Smith Rowe is next in that aspect. The talks have started.
The 20-year-old attacking midfielder burst onto scene this term with surprisingly mature performances, making the most of the space in the squad created by the freezing out and eventual departure of Mesut Ozil.
