Spanish daily AS understands that Arsenal are readying bid for Atletico Madrid forward Adrian Lopez.
The Gunners are unsure they will be able to keep hold of Robin van Persie and they, therefore, want to sign another striker this summer.
Arsenal have already secured the signing of Lukas Podolski and they have now been linked with Atletico Madrid forward Adrian Lopez.
AS claims the Gunners are prepared to offer around €12 million for the highly rated striker, but the problem is his release clause stands at €18 million.
Arsene Wenger has had the player scouted on numerous occasions this season and he has been particularly impressed by the player’s showings in Europa League.
Lopez only joined los Colchoneros last summer, on a free transfer from Deportivo La Coruna, but quickly became a key player at Vicente Calderon.
The 24-year-old, who narrowly missed out on the final Spain Euro 2012 squad, has scored 7 goals in 36 La Liga games last season, while bagging 11 goals in 19 Europa League matches.
