Arsenal are prepared to make Luis Suarez the highest paid player in their history if they can finally agree a deal with Liverpool to secure his services this summer, according to the Metro.
The Uruguay striker has been linked with a move away from Anfield all summer, though the Gunners are the only club to have so far tabled any offer.
Both of the North London club’s bids for the 26 year old have been rejected by the Reds, though with the player currently training on his own, and seemingly reluctant to apologise for behaviour deemed by manager Brendan Rodgers as disrespectful, a transfer could finally be set to happen before the window closes on September 2nd.
Lukas Podolski and Theo Walcott currently lead the list of earners at the Emirates, with both earning £100,000-a-week, though Arsene Wenger is ready to rethink his strategy as he aims to land a marquee signing ahead of the new season.
