Arsenal ready to sell Mohamed Elneny in January

Arsenal are ready to sell Mohamed Elneny in the January transfer window, according to TEAMtalk. The report has claimed that clubs in Saudi Arabia are interested in the Egypt international defensive midfielder, and that the Gunners are willing to offload him.

Elneny is fully fit now, but the midfielder is not part of the Arsenal starting lineup. It is hard to see Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta use the midfielder on a regular basis, and it would make sense for the North London club to offload the 31-year-old in the middle of the season.

The 31-year-old has made 89 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. Elneny has scored one goal and given five assists in those games. Arsenal are third in the Premier League table at the moment with 27 points from 12 matches, level on points with second-placed Liverpool and a point behind leaders and defending champions Manchester City.
