Arsenal recall Jon Toral from Granada

In a bid to strengthen their midfield positions and increase competition for places, Premier League giants Arsenal have recalled Jon Toral from Granada.

After impressing for Birmingham City with eight goals in 33 appearances last term, the Spanish midfielder was sent on a season-long deal with the La Liga side at the beginning of the season, but has failed to make an impression having only made six appearances.

As a keen admirer of Toral’s talents, Arsene Wenger has decided to recall the 21-year-old midfielder which was today confirmed through a statement published on Granada’s official website.

Arsenal are short with midfield options and could benefit from Toral’s return, although the Gunners fans firmly believe that it was Jack Wilshere who should be brought back to the Emirates.

The latest reports also claim that Jon Toral will not be sticking around at Arsenal as Scottish giants Rangers have already expressed their wish to take the Spaniard on loan.

Should this deal fall through however, Toral will be added to Arsenal’s first-team squad.
