Arsenal remain interested in Cavani

Arsenal remain interested in signing Paris Saint Germain forward Edinson Cavani, according to the Telegraph.

Gunners’ manager Arsene Wenger is set to move for the Uruguay international when the transfer window reopens in January.

Cavani, who has previously been linked with a move for Manchester United moved to Paris from Napoli in the summer of 2013.

Since signing for PSG he has racked up one hundred and eleven appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring sixty-five goals.

He has won two Ligue 1 titles so far while he was part of the squad that also won the Coupe de France last season.

Internationally he has been capped seventy-two times for his country, scoring twenty-seven goals and played at both the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and last summer’s tournament in Brazil.

He also was part of the Uruguay squad that competed in the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.
