Arsenal remain interested in signing Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling, according to the Mail Online.
The England international was linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium in the latter part of the recently closed transfer window amid City’s pursuit of Alexis Sanchez.
Citizens boss Pep Guardiola insists that Sterling, who missed his side’s 5-0 win over Liverpool on Saturday through suspension is still part of his plans though the twenty-two year old, who played for Queens Park Rangers at youth level is open to a return to London and is keen to play more regularly.
Sterling moved to the Etihad Stadium from Liverpool for a deal worth up to £49m in the summer of 2015 and has since racked up ninety-seven appearances for the club in all competitions scoring twenty-three goals.
He has been capped thirty-four times for England, scoring twice and was part of the squad for the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil.
