Arsenal remain keen on Wolves star Ruben Neves

Arsenal are keen on signing Ruben Neves from Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun. It has been reported by the British tabloid that Neves’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is still in contact with Arsenal technical director Edu over a move for the Portugal international this summer.

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal want to sign Neves as a potential replacement for Granit Xhaka. The Switzerland international midfielder has been linked with a move to AS Roma to work with former Tottenham Hotspur head coach Jose Mourinho. The Gunners have identified Neves as the player to replace Xhaka in the team and become Thomas Partey’s midfield partner.

Wolves want £35 million as transfer fee for Neves, which is a problem for Arsenal. The Gunners do not want to pay that sun. Arsenal’s bitter North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in Neves.
