Arsenal scout Barella

According to a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Arsenal sent scouts in order to watch Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella during their recent game against Juventus. The 22 year old has been with Cagliari as a professional since back in 2014, making his international senior debut for Italy in 2018. Barella has been viewed as a target for the Gunners for quite a while now, but it seems as if they’re finally ready to take that next step. He is considered to be a potential replacement for Aaron Ramsey, as the Welshman is set to complete his move to Juventus during the summer transfer window.

Barella is often considered to be one of the brightest young midfielders in Europe today, with his work often being compared to some of the greats in the Italian game. His box to box work makes him an incredibly valuable member of any team, especially at the highest level.
