Arsenal scout Under

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Arsenal recently sent a scout to watch Cengiz Under play for Roma in their Champions League clash against Viktoria Plzen. While they wound up losing the game they did see Under score, which can only strengthen the chances of the Gunners tabling a former offer for the 21 year old.

Under seems to have all the tools necessary to become a major star in the realms of European football, but as we know, transfers are never that easy. Tottenham Hotspur, aka Arsenal’s bitter rivals, are also believed to be very interested in Cengiz – which could make for quite an entertaining bidding war during the January transfer window.

Spurs could probably use a signing of his magnitude more when it comes to the fan response side of things, but when you stack both squads up against one another, he’d probably end up benefitting Arsenal more so than anyone else.
