North London heavyweights Arsenal have reportedly made Lille winger Nicolas Pepe their top priority ahead of the January transfer window.
The in-form Gunners are looking to add more firepower ahead of the second part of the season and manager Unai Emery appears to have singled out the 23-year-old Lille starlet as a player who would be an ideal complement to his free-firing side.
Pepe has generated plenty of interest from across the European continent with Barcelona said to be keeping the tabs on his as well but Arsenal are determined to see off the competition this winter.
The talented winger has so far scored nine goals in 15 games this season.
Arsenal are going through a purple patch at the moment, having gone on a 19-match winning streak after beating local rivals Tottenham this weekend.
Emery’s men face another difficult challenge this week as they prepare to face Manchester United at Old Trafford later on Wednesday.
The Gunners are given a price of 19/10 to emerge victorious from their trip to Manchester.
