Many of Barcelona’s La Masia graduates have been departing recently, and winger Jose Arnaiz could be the next youngster to move away from the Catalan super club. Spanish publication Marca has reported that Premier League giants Arsenal are keen on acquiring his services, meaning he could follow in the footsteps of the likes of Cesc Fabregas.
The Gunners will likely lose their star winger Alexis Sanchez, and manager Arsene Wenger will be keen to replace the Chilean as quickly as possible. Consequently the North London side have been linked with a whole host of players, but the 22-year old Arnaiz perhaps represents a more long-term replacement.
The Spaniard cost the Catalans €3.4m from Valladolid, and he has impressed with performances in the Copa del Rey. He has been unable to break into the Barcelona senior team to register any La Liga minutes, but a move to the English top flight would certainly be a great way to accelerate his career.
