Arsenal set to sign Pepe for €80m

Arsenal could be making their transfer of the summer very soon! The Gunners are closing in on a highly-rated winger from Ligue 1 and the transfer fee could be truly massive.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Arsenal are looking increasingly likely to sign Nicolas Pepe from LOSC Lille for a reported fee of €80m. The Ivory Coast international was expected to leave Lille this summer for months now, with Bayern Munich, Napoli and Manchester United all mentioned in that conversation.

But, now it looks like it will be Arsenal who are going to get Pepe, as they are in advanced talks over the structure of the payment. Arsenal want to pay the fee in as many instalments as possible, to structure it so that their finances can keep up. Pepe was also linked with PSG, but after scoring 22 goals in 38 Ligue 1 games, it appears that he will be joining Premier League.
