Arsenal are weighing up a move for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Mario Goetze, The Mirror reports.
The 19-year-old is widely expected to leave Borussia for a bigger club in the near future, even if he is currently happy at Dortmund.
Bayern Munich chiefs have already admitted their interest in the Germany international, but few other clubs are likely to enter the race in January.
According to The Mirror, Arsene Wenger is likely to return for the highly rated youngster after his initial enquiries were rejected last summer.
Wenger is keen to add some more creativity to midfield after staying without Fabregas and Nasri, and he sees the German as the man for the job.
