According to reports coming from the Spanish media outlet Sport, Arsenal have secured a deal to sign the 15-year-old Barcelona talent Joel Lopez.
The highly-rated left-back has been playing for Barcelona Cadeta A side and has already refused a renewal offer from the Catalans and is ready to move to London.
Lopez will initially sign a deal on schoolboy terms and join up with the Arsenal academy before he signs a professional deal with the Gunners in March 2019, when he turns 19.
Due to the fact Lopez was not under a professional contract with Barcelona, the Spanish La Liga champions will only receive a training compensation fee from Arsenal.
Lopez will thus follow the footsteps of Cesc Fabregas and Hector Bellerin who both moved to London as young Barcelona players.
Liverpool were also said to be interested in the Barcelona youngster.
