Arsenal snatch another Barca hotshot

Arsenal have agreed the signing of Barcelona hotshot Jon Toral Harper, according to El Mundo Deportivo.

After Cesc Fabregas and Fran Merida, Arsenal are set to snatch another Barcelona youngster, as the Gunners have reportedly agreed to sign Jon Toral Harper at the end of the season.

While the 16-year-old is set to join Arsenal on a free transfer, the Gunners will have to pay Barcelona around €350,000 as part of the training costs.

Jon Toral Harper is currently regarded as one of the hottest prospects in La Macia, and he is capable of playing as a central midfielder or on the left hand side.

The player’s mother is English, which is one of the reasons why he wanted to return to England, and despite receiving offers from Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea, Toral opted for Arsenal as he believes that he will have the best chance of making it to the first team at the Emirates.

Barca officials are angry with the youngster for engineering a move away from the club and they are likely to drop him from the Cadet A squad so as to give other youngsters a chance to shine.
