Arsenal still interested in Coutinho

According to a recent report from Daily Mirror, Arsenal are not giving up on their pursuit of Philippe Coutinho this summer.

The Brazilian enjoyed a strong end to last season and has been the subject of much debate throughout the course of the transfer window. At this moment in time Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman is interested in bringing him back into the first team at the Nou Camp, with the new boss clearly being impressed by the conclusion of his loan spell with Bayern Munich.

Coutinho really did struggle at times to make the desired impact with Barca but he seems to be back on the rise – or, at least, he has a small wave of momentum.

The Gunners have enjoyed a decent transfer window up to this point but there are still a few positions that Mikel Arteta clearly wants to try and strengthen. Whether or not he can land Coutinho, though, remains to be seen.
