Arsenal submit £2 million bid for Iranian starlet Sardar Azmoun

Arsenal F.C. have made a £2 million offer for highly-rated Rubin Kazan forward Sardar Azmoun.

Arsenal F.C. have made a £2 million offer for highly-rated Rubin Kazan forward Sardar Azmoun, according to Metro.

The Iran youth international, who joined Rubin Kazan from Iran Pro League giants Sepahan in January 2013, is slowly but surely establishing himself as a first-team regular under manager Vladimir Maminov.

Azmoun, 19, has scored two goals in 11 appearances in all competitions for the Russian Premier League outfit this season and his performances have triggered interest from a number of top European clubs, including AC Milan and Juventus.

The 19-year-old, whose current deal at the Kazan Arena is set to expire on 31 January 2015, has been dubbed the “Iranian Lionel Messi.”

Turkey want to call-up Adnan Januzaj

Turkey national team boss Fatih Terim is preparing to offer Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj a chance to play for Ay Yıldızlılar, ESPN FC understands.

Januzaj, a native of Brussels, is currently eligible to play for five different international teams (Albania, Belgium, Kosovo, Serbia and Turkey), with England a future possibility through residency in the UK.

“If we don’t offer Januzaj the chance, we will be criticised for missing out,” Terim said.

“The Turkish Football Federation president, staff and myself have asked him to play for Turkey.

“His father is Turkish, his mother is Kosovan and Albania, England, Kosovo and Belgium all want him to represent their country.

“We are working towards the possibility of him playing for Turkey. I mean if he decided he wants to play for us, we have the right to play him.”

However, Januzaj’s father has already ruled out the possibility of the player representing Serbia or Turkey.

“We have no connections at all with these countries,” the 19-year-old’s father said. “I have no idea how people think Adnan will engage with Serbia. There is no way that can happen.

“Probably, people think as many states were part of Yugoslavia they have the right to give citizenship to Adnan. But, Turkey, Serbia or Croatia stand no chance.”

Januzaj, who has tallied three goals and two assists in 22 Premier League appearances for the Red Devils in 2013/14, is priced at 3/1 to join Paris Saint-Germain in the next transfer window despite signing a long-term deal with United earlier this season.

In other news, Manchester United are 3/1 and 5/4 to land England and Southampton star duo Adam Lallana and Luke Shaw in the summer transfer window.

That being said, the best United-related bet available is Ashley Young to get booked for diving before 31 December 2013, which is priced at 9/4.
