Premier League giants Arsenal have submitted an official proposal for Sporting CP hotshot Gelson Martins, according to A Bola.
The 23-year-old enjoyed his most successful season up to date last term, producing 13 goals and as many assists in all competitions.
He has been heavily linked with a big club move over the last few months and it has now been revealed that Arsenal offered €30 million for his services.
However, Sporting CP chiefs decided to reject the proposal as they want more money for their star player, so it remains to be seen whether the Gunners will return with an improved bid.
Gelson Martins has been in fine form ever since he nailed down a regular starting berth at Estadio Jose Alvalade, and he could soon be leaving the Lions for greener pastures.
