Montpellier midfielder Younes Belhanda explains that English Premier League could be his next destination.
The Moroccan midfielder has seen his stock rise significantly over the last two years and he is now considered one of the most talented players in French Ligue 1.
Belhanda has become a target for a number of major European clubs, and he now reveals English Premier League and German Bundesliga would suit him well.
“My future? My dream is to play in England or Germany at some point,” Belhanda told Telefoot, a program on French television TF1.
“The style would be perfect for me, as well as the philosophy of the football clubs.”
The player was also linked with Milan over the last few weeks, but he has moved to reject such speculation.
“Rumours of Milan? I know nothing. I have three years of professional football (behind me) and I still have much to learn but I’m ambitious.”
Belhanda started his professional career at Montpellier just few years ago and is currently playing his third season for the MHSC.
The 22-year-old has been a real driving force in Montpellier’s push for the Ligue 1 title, having scored 7 goals and created 5 assists in 21 Ligue 1 games.
Montpellier are enjoying one of the best seasons in recent history and they currently sit at the Ligue 1 summit.
