Sochaux midfielder Marvin Martin is set to complete his move to Lille, according to L’Equipe.
The 23-year-old exploded onto the big stage last season when he became Ligue 1 top assist maker and soon saw his name linked with Europe’s top clubs.
Despite the interest from clubs such as Arsenal and Liverpool, the player decided to stay at Sochaux for one more season, but he is now ready to move on.
L’Equipe claims that Lille and Sochaux have already agreed on the transfer fee, which is between €8m and €10m, with the player set to sign with les Dogues subject to passing a medical.
The creative midfielder had three years left on his deal with les Lionceaux, but opted for a new challenge with Lille.
The player, who turns 24 on 10th June, will be earning around €2.4 million per campaign at Stade Lille Metropole.
Marvin Martin, who made it into the final France squad for the Euro 2012, arrives to Lille as a replacement for Chelsea-bound Eden Hazard.
