Premier League giants Arsenal are being linked with a summer move for Sporting CP goalkeeper Rui Patricio, according to Radio Monte Carlo.
The highly rated shot-stopper has so far resisted temptation to leave the Lions for greener pastures, but the Gunners apparently want him to succeed Petr Cech at the Emirates.
Radio Monte Carlo claims that Arsenal are readying a €15 million bid for the 29-year-old footballer.
However, with Patricio only recently signing a new deal until June 2022, chances are Sporting CP will want more for their prized possession.
The Portugal international has been on the radar of top European clubs for quite some time, but it would appear as though he wasn’t too keen on leaving his current employers.
Rui Patricio has spend his entire career at Estadio Jose Alvalade, making 286 Primeira Liga appearances for the Lions, while also earning a total of 60 Portugal caps.
