Things are heating up in Italy this season. The Serie A clubs are more and more exploiting the English market, as they are more eager than ever to sign players from the Premier League. We have seen that with Inter Milan and we have also seen that with AS Roma who signed Chris Smalling and Henrikh Mkhitaryan on loans from Manchester United and Arsenal respectively.
But now they might have problems to actually sign those players on permanent deals. We have already reported about the situation in which Man United are preparing to increase the asking price for Smalling after good performances, but according to the Sun, AS Roma will struggle to get Mkhitaryan as well. Their report suggests Arsenal will put an asking price of 20 million pounds, which is close to 24 million euros.
The Armenian is keen on remaining in Rome at the end of his loan deal, but the Serie A outfit are not prepared to meet the Gunners’ valuation…
