Monaco are set to earn another €3 million from selling forward Park Chu-Young to Arsenal, L’Equipe understands.
The Gunners paid €3.5 million for the Korean forward last summer, but it was agreed that they should add another €3 million if Park’s military service was postponed.
Seeing that the Korean government recently allowed the player to delay his compulsory military service for ten years, Arsenal will have to fulfill their obligations towards the French club.
The English Premier League side managed to steel Park from under Lille’s noses near the end of the summer transfer window, but that proved to be a very poor decision.
The Korean striker has utterly failed to realize his potential at the Emirates and Arsenal chiefs are prepared to let him leave the club in the summer.
Park has featured in just one Premier League game this season, although he did make three Carling Cup appearances, scoring one goal in the process.
