Kevin Keegan looks set to lose the race to sign another player as Arsenal have moved ahead of Newcastle in the race to sign Swiss midfielder Goekhan Inler from Udinese.
Inler has a £5 million release clause which, according to The Daily Mail has been activated by Arsenal. This development has made Arsenal the clear favourites to sign the Swiss international.
Arsene Wenger has seen plenty of transfer activity at his club this summer with four players making their way out and three coming in, but he might not have seen the end of his transfer activity.
The future of Emmanuel Adebayor looks to have been settled after neither AC Milan nor Barcelona could match Arsenal’s asking price, but Philippe Senderos could leave The Emirates Stadium for more first team action at Newcastle.
