Arsenal tracking La Liga hotshot

Arsenal are keeping tabs on Getafe youngster Abdel Barrada, Spanish daily Marca has revealed.

The Gunners are the latest club to have shown an interest in the Moroccan midfielder, who has impressed in his first La Liga season.

Arsenal have yet to make an official bid for the 22-year-old, but Arsene Wenger has already sent scouts to check on the promising midfielder.

The Gunners are expected to make an official bid for the player’s services in January, but they could face a tough competition from Real Madrid and Liverpool.

Barrada signed his first professional contract just few months ago and he is tied to Getafe until June 2015.

His release clause stands at €20 million, but recent reports suggest that Getafe would settle for half that amount.
