Arsenal are interested in signing Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa in the January transfer window, according to The Sun. It has been reported that the Gunners are looking for potential replacements for Alexandre Lacazette, and one of the players manager Mikel Arteta is looking for is Watkins.
Lacazette is out of contract at Arsenal at the end of the season, and it looks very likely that the 30-year-old France international will leave next summer. Arsenal manager Arteta is open to selling Lacazette in the middle of the season, but only if he is able to bring in a suitable replacement.
The Arsenal no.9 has played only 49 minutes in the Premier League so far this season. The former Lyon star has scored two goals and provided one assist in two Carabao Cup matches so far this season.
