Arsenal are interested in signing Jesse Lingard from Premier League rivals Manchester United in the summer of 2021, according to The Sun. The attacking midfielder is on loan at West Ham United from the Red Devils, and Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta plans to make a bid for the 28-year-old, who can also operate as a winger.
Lingard has been superb for West Ham since his move on loan from United. The 28-year-old is scoring goals at regular intervals and is enjoying his football. According to WhoScored, the Englishman has scored eight goals and provided three assists in the Premier League for the Hammers.
West Ham are in a very good position to finish in the Premier League top four, and Lingard could decide to commit his future to the Hammers. Arsenal are unlikely to even finish in the Europa League places and may not be too appealing to the United-owned player.
